Default 5th gen mugen rears on a 4th gen

Unfortunately there isn't much choice when it comes to the 4th gen for kits, specifically the rear. I was wondering if anyone knew if the rear bumper for a 4th gen is the same shape as the 5th gen one, on the bottom only? Im trying to think if the 5th gen rear mugen pieces would work well or not on a 4th gen rear bumper. Input? Anyone tested this before?

The 4G and 5G overall shape is very similar...I bet you could get them to work.

What sides cold you use to keep them from looking silly back there though??

i have personally tried them on my friends 4th gen. they will need major modification to fit. the rear of 5th gen is much longer than the 4th gen plus the curve lines are very different also. i would rather use some other lips made for accord/civic/integra

I disagree with you entirely... I suggest you look closely at the dimensions and the actually shapes that make up each car.

There it is... major modification is needed / thread.

Please don't cut any Mugen parts to make them fit on a car they weren't meant for. There's always other optionsn meant for 4th gens. Azect valances, Canam replicas...I know there are others.

Haha, whoa there tiger...not that big of a deal. I meant the overall shape of each car is very similar, if you look at a profile of a 4G and a 5G they are almost the same. I did not ever say I knew that they would fit, I just speculated.

I'll be sure to check the 'actually' shapes next time before I post.

Thanks for the input, lol! If I could just get my hands on a pair to see exactly how much modifications required lol.. from what you guys have said though, doesn't sound like it would work. I was considering the accord rear lip, but I don't like how you have to cat the length.
