rera brake lights won't turn off!
i can't figure out why they won't turn off.i think it might be the brake light switch but i can't find it, do you have any pictures of were it would be my car is an 88 dx
its also running a code 16 do you guys know which code that is?

my isuzu was doing the same thing about a week ago, check your bulb you might have the wrong bulb, i had a one prong bulb in a two prong socket your might nbe backwards also, just a guess
the brake light problem happened to me. the switch is at the top of the pedal, theres a lil plastic piece that always breaks and leaves the lights on
pandarex is right thats prob and dont try to make a quick fix of it because if you end up breaking the switch then your gonna have to send a lot more money goto your local honda and ask them for the pedal piece its only like 2.00
it was fairly simple to fix, just stuck a screw in that hole (large flanged head, left the head to contact the switch) to plug it up so the switch would make contact, and a bit of superglue to hold it in place.
haven't had a chance to go get the little rubber thingy from the honda place yet, but the screw is keeping the lights off for now...

Really simple fix...here's my thread on it. Get $3.28 and you're set.
Go/Call Honda and ask for the Pedal Stopper Pad, P/N 46505-SA5-000

Haha, wow same thing happened to my 89 hatch last week, went to Honda to get a little plug stopper for the brake switch. $3.75

LOL THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY CAR A COUPLE MOTHS AGO MY FRIEND SAID IT WAS THE BREAK SWITCH SO I CHECKED IT AND HE WAS RIGHT I JUST STUCK A PENNY IN THERE LOL ITS STILL IN THERE TO THIS DAY IM SUPRISED IT HASNT FALLEN OFF
