I have a k24 swap in my ek and i am trying to find a good brake setup, any ideas? i dont want to go 5 lug since i already have 3 sets of wheels. Thanks.

 

New oem rotors, Track pads (I use Hawk), Stainless lines, New high temp brake fluid (motul, superblue, etc). Its worked fine for me. It is also very cost effective.

Some Hawk Blue or HP+ with Motul RBF600 brake fluid would get the job done

 

You should start researching larger brake options like using ITR calipers with 11.1" rotors. You can easily overwhelm the stock brake setup. Do you have the 9.5" fronts or the 10.3" fronts?

The 9.5" definately won't cut it, and the 10.3" might be insufficient as well. No way to really know until you put it on the track.

 

I race a k24 EK Civic and for the past 3 seasons I've ran ITR front calipers with 4x100, 11" rotors from Fastbrakes. The rears were just 99-00 Civic SI disks. OEM porp valve, ITR brake booster and master cylinder with Goodridge SS lines and Motul 600 fluid. For pad's I'm using Carbotech XP12's up front and XP8's in the rear.

i am also on 11" front rotors and itr calipers (4 lug) and it works just fine. so far ive used hawk ht-10, cobalt spec b and vr (thats how long i've had this set-up)

 

I would first get some good track pads (hawks or porterfields or whatever) for your existing setup and see how they do.

I am willing to bet that they will be fine.

There may not be a need to upgrade...

By the way.. if you pick up the latest copy of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, there is an article about this in the current issue (i just got mine in the mail today so I haven't read it yet)
