and the tube i'm holding was found in my wheel well i don't know if thats where is was supposed to be or what but its really bugging me

you don't need it anymore with that intake.

It used to control butterflies in the stock airbox.

^ yeah what he said.

it's a vacuum box that operates the intake resonator that may or may not be still be behind the front bumper. Since you have an after market intake you can remove it.
