1991 Honda Civic Wagon Seat Belt Alarm will not stop
My 1991 Honda Civic Wagon seat belt alarm will not stop beeping. It will cost me more than the car is worth to have it repaired, as it will likely require replacement of the mechanical unit. Of course, because this is a 'function' of the SRS system, there are legal restrictions about giving information about how to disable the alarm, as it is regarded as tampering with the safety device. *sigh*
If anyone is willing to discuss this could they please tell me how to stop this beeping? OR, tell me where the speaker is located? I always wear my seatbelts, so it is not a question of not wanting an alarm sound ever. I just don't want to spend $1000 to fix this!
Thanks in advance,
Rita

Is the plug under the seat disconnected? I know when I was trying to troubleshoot mine in my Sedan, I disconnected it and the beeper wouldn't stop beeping. Check that, first?
Your beeping is most likely coming from over the rear view mirror? You might check / unplug the door latch inside the door, not the jamb. Good luck
