EBC's suck. I dunno why you need them by this weekend, but if you're really that desperate, get some Autozone NASCAR select pads for an Accord Wagon. They're better than EBC's, and will certainly last longer, and actually be trackable.

What can I expect to pay for OEM? I have a friend who works for Honda so she can get parts at cost. Thanks for the help everyone. I'll definetly stay the hell away from the EBC's if they are no good.

For aggressive street driving, and for anyone looking for a very high-performance street brake pad that has the following qualities:

- low dust and noise
- rotor friendly with good wear rates
- 15-20% more braking torque over OEM Honda compounds
- far greater fade resistance over OEM (1000F vs. 650F)

I highly recommend the AXXIS ULTIMATE brake pad.

Cobalt Friction Technologies (www.cobaltfriction.com) carries the Axxis Ultimate for most Honda/Acura (as well as other Japanese and European imports) vehicles, at very competitive prices.

For the ITR, list prices are $92.25 front and $52.35 rear. As a special introductory price to Honda-Tech.com members, we are offering the Axxis Ultimate at 15% off list prices...and they are in stock and ready to ship.

Cobalt also carries a wide range of high-performance brake fluids, brake pads, etc.

If you have any questions about how to improve the braking performance of your vehicle, please feel free to contact me toll-free at 877.562.9237, or via e-mail at andie@cobaltfriction.com .

With Best Regards,

Andie Lin

Do you sell hawk products? use hawk material in your own molds? Or do I have to talk to Larry again?

Good job on leaving though, I'm sure you'll be much more happy!

Andie: I want to try out some PF pads sometime but I'm selling all my car chit. I'm over it. Next car will be a $1500 beater so I can spend cash where it's more important.. then after debt/etc is gone I'll rebuild my boosted car and buy another boosted (factory) car, then I'll need pads. But, give me some cards next time I see you at the track and I'll pass them out. I've never really had a problem with you and your service was good at carbotech.. if Larry is back on the phones there I must say I will never look forward to calling carbotech again..

autozone albany pads 11.99 per set. not the best, but if they suck you only spent 12 bucks!

I didn't spend all that money for the performance of a Type R, just to degrade that performance to save a few bucks on crappy brake pads (or tires)...

I've decided to go with a set of OEM. I have a friend who works at honda and got them for me at her cost. 20 for the front 30 for the rear. Can't complain about those prices.

Yeah, I don't know why...I think list price was 50 for the fron and 65 for the rear. Anyone know why the rears are more expensive?
