Default smog...... failed miserably

Well i took my crx in today to get it smoged here are the results.

HC: max:120 / meas:1007
CO%: max:1.00 / meas:9.25

My timing was 23 BTDC, he said most likely the timing belt is a tooth off after i explained to him what happens when i try to time it.

I also got an error code 1 this is o2 sensor right?

Well just what are you asking? He told what you need fixing or should I say a starting point. Fix the T-belt which is easy you should be able to remove the valve cover and upper timing cover and slide the belt off, then turn the cam the correct direction. (using TDC, White mark on crank and the lines on the cam gear)and slide it back on. You might need to set the tension of the belt too.

Then time it so it is correct. And swap out the O2 sensor.

I would do these then get it retested. Then get back to us if you still need help.
