Stolen DC2 MD/DC Area
After 10 years of owning a 98 DC2, it was stolen from my building's parking garage about a week ago. The OEM JDM front-end, the engine (along with J's Racing intake), the whole interior (including the headunit, 2 amps, and 12" woofer), and wheels and tires were all stripped.
I'm not sure what I am trying to accomplish with this post. A part of me just needs to vent to people that understand what it means to own a DC2 and what it means to have it stolen. Another part of me hopes i could find the delinquients whom did this, which I know I probably will never know.

Very sorry to hear this mang
Edit: Saw you mentioned 10 years of ownership...someone else claimed to be selling 98-1047 within the last 6 months.

A lot of R's are stolen from garages on road side as the OP's was. If you take the proper safety precautions to keep it from being stolen and live in a neighborhood that you tell about your car you should be ok.
Personally I have told my closest neighbors if they ever see anyone so much as walk up my driveway to look at my car to come outside and ask them what they are doing if I am not home. If they ever see it on a tow truck and the driver claims I need it towed, to call the police first cause he's lying, and then me second.
You really gotta try and keep these cars from being stolen anymore man. Try cementing a chain in the ground and chaining the car up at night even haha

Sorry to hear about your loss... Anything more you could have done security-wise to have discouraged or prevented that? Was this (garage) at work or home?

Such a shame and I am very sorry for your loss. 10years, wow. I wish you the best dealing with the insurance process and with your decision to rebuild or not, rebuy or not, etc.
