Newb with some questions about B18A in a 90 Civic hatch
OK, I bough a 90 Civic Hatch 5spd with a B18A in it from a teg (he said 92 OBD1?). It has a 91 teg ECU - PR4 (OBD0 right?). It has idle issues and a code for EGR. Now the EGR valve is not connected and there is no plug for it. I've searched, read the FAQ's (although a lot of links don't work) and I am just not sure if the EGR is required or the source of the idle issue. I checked the TPS, it tested OK. I checked my FITV and the diaphram (white thing) wasn't lose. Basically, it the idle goes up and down between 1500-2000 RPM when it's cold, then when it warms up, it drops to 400, almost dies and goes back up to 1000 and lights the CE light. After it's warm, sometimes it idles OK at around 550 and sometimes it fluctuates like explained above.
I looked at several vacuum diagrams and everything seems to be hooked up right but there are a few things on the intake no with hoses OR caps. The ECU and harness are jacked (ugly wiring job) so I am not looking forward to figure out if it was done right but the car does run pretty well except for the idle and EGR code.
Sorry if this has been covered a million times but I am a nub to all this so thanks in advance for any suggestions or help you may offer.

OK, I'm guessing I should just ignore the EGR code and check for other vacuum issues instead. I just don't know what ECU I have for sure (OBD0 or 1) cause I've read some have 2 o2 sensors and some don't. It seems everything I read says something different. Just seems like a 92 teg B18A is OBD1, my ECU is OBD0 and I'm not really sure how to make the motor OBD0 to match the ECU. Anyone have links they know are right and work?
sounds like vaccum bro. i just did mpfi swap on my rex and it idled like that until all the vaccums were figured out. not sure about egr tho, bump for some help.
