I am going to be running the SK2 Tuner2's when I retune, Jeff E told me they made great power over ITR's in his tests with a couple cars. They will give you much better idle quality/drivability over the pro series cams.

You are missing info. You would have to provide what manifolds you are running.

you'll need the gears and make sure they tune out as much overlap as possible.

Not meaning to thread jack, but I'm kinda in the same boat. I do have stock B16 cams I was planing on using, but I also have a set of Brian Crower Stage 2 N/A Cams. Would someone be able to tell me if the overlap would be to much to get rid of if I posted the cams specs?

dont put a big cam in your turbo setup if you are running a restrictive exhaust setup i.e. log manifolds, small back housing on the turbo, small exhaust. your gonna loose power if anything and might even cause the car to have a serious breakup issues.

Allmotor cams are good on turbo setups with a good flowing exhaust system (ramhorn/topmount manifolds, decent sized turbos and 3"+ exhaust setups)

I have found that the skunk2 tuner stage 1s are an awesome cam that work really well with 57 trim -> gt3582 size turbo range. I have seen 10-20whp gains over the ITR/CTRs in these applications that i have tried them on. They seem to make peak power around 9-9.5k with portwork and large enough turbo (gt3582). The skunk2 tuner stage 2's work best with t4/67, gt4088r, gt4294, etc sized turbo applications. Back to back testing compared to itr cams picked up 40-50whp at 30-32psi range. This was with a ported head, oversized valves, divided twingate manifold, gt4088r 1.06a/r, 4" exhaust, etc, etc...an efficient set-up.

I still believe for the money the skunk2 tuner stage 1 cams are the best overall bang for the buck. They work well on non-ported heads, and can still give big gains with larger turbos (t4 frame). They are easier on the valvetrain, idle like stock and will work well with 99% of the applications they are used on.

i just recently did a cam swap on my daily driver..

stock sleeve lsvtec
81.5mm 10 to 1 wiseco pistons
eagle rods
stock port gsr head
rev valvetrain
skunk2 intake manifold/68mm throttle body
ram horn manifold
60-1 e-cover stage 3 turbine .63 a/r
with stock gsr cams the car made 397hp 275trq on 17.5 psi

switched to the mazworx/ipg cams... same boost same day... 465hp 307trq
i couldnt beleive it at first..had to keep double checking the logs to make sure the boost didnt go up..but sure enough it was 17.5 on the dot..

Would it be possible for you to post a dyno overlay of the 2 cams?

i found out the hard way that low boost plus a decent cam dont combine well with a "cast/log" style manifold

i have a blox style cast manifold with buddy club 3+ and have to have vtec at 6100 or else it was falling on its face if vtec was any earlier (have 3" dp and 3" exhaust) i guess i will find out how this combo works with more boost on the t3/t4 60 trim

Nice graph, look like the GSR's spool the turbo faster but fall off on top, where the Maz's peak and then just level off.

I wonder what the graph would look like at 10k........

you can pm me for a good deal on the cams..
kinda not a good comparison.. gsr cams was done in 4th..and the mazworx in 3rd...if i would have done the mazworx in 4th it would have spooled just as fast if not faster and would have read higher also..

they idle fine and drive like stock....
p.s. James thanks again for the killer cams

I would like to see a test between the s2 pro 1s and the mazworx cams since they both have good results.

Jeff that difference from the itr cams to the sk2 stage1 is with or without camgear adjustments?
