Eagle rods won't clear the main girdle on DOHC ZC. I can't notch the girdle enough...
Has anyone successfully installed a set of Eagle H beam rods (with the new "2000" bolts) on an OBD0 DOHC ZC???
I notched the cylinder walls, no problems there. But I have installed a rod, and turned the crank and it hits the main girdle hardcore. The bolt is almost flush with the outside of the girdle when it hits. There isn't even 1/32" between the rod and the edge of the girdle...
There is no notching to this, all I can think to do would be to cut a damn hole in the girdle for the rod to clear, and weld up some sort of support thing OVER the hole to clear the rod.
BAAAAAHHHHHHH! Why can't people make a part that fits???
I'll try to get some pics on here later for more clarification...

Ive did a lil bit more looking around and u have to notch the girdle if u use the arp 2000 bolts in the eagle rods unless u have a custom girdle then get the whole things matched up and bored. so its alot easier just to notch it no pics ,but the rod bolts come right up to the middle of the girdle
