got a 97 ek and the window will only go up about 2/3 of the way. the weather stipping inside the window frame some how was bunched up at the sideview mirror and i cant straighten it out. i have searched for this but everyone has a damn EG. anyways i need to put the window back on track (if its off) or just loosen up the weather stripping so the damn thing will go up all the way. if anyone has a write up please post.

Also I'm not quite sure what you meant by weather stripping being bunched, a pic would be very helpful.

 

well to unbunch that strip you are goin to have to take ur door panel off and also the weather insulator. afterwards u will need to lower ur window all the way down and take it off track. to take it off track u will have to loosen or remove the bolt that is located near the bottom wehre the door speaker is located. after u got it off the track, reach inside ur door and pull down the stripping with a pair of needle nose plisers.. that should solve ur problem. then reconnect everything u had taken off.
mine has done that to me a time or two
