i have a 92 si with fuel/starting issues. once in a while it wont start on its own with out a shot of ether or sometimes even at all, but latetly i noticed there is a smaller silver computor looking box just to the right and up from the steering colum. Im not sure if it is lucky timing or what but i tapped on that box and wiggled the connector and it started right up. Can someone tell me what the box is? Thanks for any info......

thank you, but the piece i am looking at is a computor of some sort, but not the actual ecm. it is probly 6 inches wide and near the same in length with maybe 15-29 wires going into it. it is mounted just right of the steering columb but a little above it. it is a dirt track racecar so there is no factory dash in it and it is very easy to see for me, if the factory stuff was there it would be pretty far up in there i think. Any ideas?

 

I can't think of what you might be talking about from the description, but if you could take a pic I'm sure I could tell you what it is.
