Default custom carbon parts

been doing carbon work for a while but this was deff the hardest job. came out really nice in the end. its an overlay of an integra bumper for a local show car







carbon trunk and glove box i made for my car.

did you spray the parts black first so the color doesnt show though the fiber? and what type of resin did you use so it doesnt melt the plastic? also how many layers of resin did you use? did you put wax in the final coat? did you clear it? sorry for all the questions im in a composites class and knowing more helps

yes i painted them black first.

the resin is from aeromarine its a crystal clear non blushing resin

layered till it can be sanded smooth.

no wax because i clear with a uv resistant clear

no link. i taught myself how to do it. its simple really just expensive if you mess up. and expensive to commit to starting it really. resin alone is like 140 then the carbon is like $40 a yd. then if you mess up the part you are doing it gone.
