Default b16 head?

I have a b16 and its compression is a crappy 160 psi, but has only 3-4% leakage in each cylinder, so my question is how can i tell if i really have a b16 head? and if it is a b16 head is my problem maybe too thick of a gasket? thanks

i think you can tell by the codes stamped on it, i know you can tell the year at least. You'll have to search for those. I think your leakings probably rings or valve seas/guides. Too thick of a headgasket will just lower compression and not cause a leak i think.
