were you spinning off the line? with a 4-5k launch on streets i bet you were. what was ur 60ft? subs or large amounts off useless weight
will make for slower times. also preload your drivetrain
gain some knowledge about how to drive/launch and invest in some radials or slicks. i know exactly what your dealing with last year i went to the track as soon as i put afew miles on my h22 and i was running low 14s high 13s and i should have been about a second quicker i was launching around 2k on crappy all seasons any higher of a launch and 1st gear would not grip, spinning in second as well. now ive got some radials and experience of driving my car behind my belt and im ready to go run the times i should be at.

my buddy asked me the same question about his evo when he first got it...and i have never driven an turbo or awd car lol
basically you need to practice and get a feel for your car and lauch at an rpm that has very very little spinage on street tires your guess is as good as mine, but if you rock radials id say 5k would hook great with the radials and some practice behind the wheel youll trim down your times a ton gl

ya and adjust accordingly, if you spin go lower or try to slip the clutch a bit...also preload your drivetrain and launch on the 3rd yellow

open up the intake and exaust, your choking your motor for power right now. also your launch should be at the point of your tires start to break out, also try filling up your rear tires up a little bit more, that will decrease drag (dont over do it, maybe 40-50 lbs.). it all comes down to time behind the wheel.
i was hitting 14.6-14.4 at a terrible track without launching hard at all. I/H/E on a usdm gsr in my ej8 coupe. Try not launching but rather starting fast. Seems to work well and it wont kill your car or make you spin

LOL GOod luck at the track, Fun times!

with typical street tires thats not such a good idea, the temperature the tire rises to during the burn out is much greater than the tires optimal temperature range, therefore street tires are actually slicker if you do a burn out beforehand...however radials, slicks, and racing tires it will help a ton
