How's It going everyone. I have a red 93 del sol. (d15, 5 speed) Just got it running good and was getting ready to swap the engine. well I hit a deer on the way to work. sucks for me. The car is still running it didn't hurt the engine at all, just head light, fender and door. well aside from that one of the idiots that had the car before me took out all the interior except the dash, secured the rear window (leaks around it and in the trunk) , took out the rear window motor, cut away the metal...you get my point...this guy should be shot. So before the deer I was debating on getting one in better shape or trying to fix all of it.
Well a friend that deals and trades cars, motorcycle, anything he can legally make money on got a blue 94 del sol si. he got it knowing I would want it. the only problem is its an automatic and has a knock. I can fix the knock. and eventually will swap for a b anyway. I know I can take the clutch pedal assembly and put it in the blue one, and im sure the trans will bolt to the d16. my q's are

1) will I have to get a dif ecu? (one that came off a d16 with a 5spd) or can I use one of mine.

2) I heard say that the trans from a d16 is better.

If anyone can clear stuff up I'd like that also send me in direction of info about what the different honda transmissions. I know a good bit about the engines.
