Default side mount intercooler?

anybody use the side mount intercooler(out of an eclipse) for they're turbo set up...

Yes people have used them on lower hp budget turbo setups. Are you planning to use one for a setup soon?

You can use it. It's not as good as a front mount but if you got it for free and your setup is not crazy, than use it untill you can get a front mount.

A SMIC isn't very noticeable from the front, so I'm guessing you're looking for pictures with the bumper off?

Just try to place it so tht the outlet is close to the hole that CAIs go through, but you may have to cut a hole for the inlet. I'm not that familiar with civics

Its usually easier for people to go with a FMIC because of how the lower pipe is on DSM SMIC's. FYI its the 1st gen DSM SMIC you want, since it puts the outlet right up through the stock air hole. If you research beerbongskickass's civic setup from a while back (try homemadeturbo.com) I think he used a 1st gen DSM SMIC w/o much issues.

I dont think i would bother with the side mount. Just try and find a small size front mount.

Or like he said, put the size mount in a well vented area.

i would say depending what your goals are as far as power goes. then for free just run the smic if your goin for the budget side of it.
