Default ITR 481 Turbo Pics project finished. . .

Hey guys, I just wanted to post some pics of the R now that the new motor and turbo have been completed.
I hope you enjoy.

My new Turbocharged Honda JetSki. . . Had to throw this in here

Let me know what you think, I haven't had time to get it retuned because I want to get an AEM EMS, I'm running Hondata right now and its still tuned from the old setup, which is fine for normal driving.

Pretty clean.

Seems like everyone and their mom is turbocharging their ITR this year.

If this thread was posted up about 2 years prior, you would of gotten a lot more negative responses with the higher population of ITR purists that were present.

Actually I would like to, I'm in VA so I want to make a trip to VIR for some professional instruction. But first I think I'm going to have to do some more research into AutoXing and suspension setups etc . . .

My R has been boosted since I 2003, it was on the stock motor then and I did get some negativity on here, its funny how things have gone 360.

Negativity, Shmegativity. Who really cares what someone else thinks about another's car. If that so called "purist" loves no power, then good for him...lol.

OP's ride is off the hook.

Block
Darton Sleeves 81.5mm
Wiseco pistons 10:1 CR
Eagle Rods

Head
Omni Power Valves, springs, retainers
Ported and Polished head
ARP studs
Skunk2 Pro 1 cams

Peak Boost Manifold
SC61 580hp turbo
Precision 750hp IC

No numbers yet, I need to get it retuned on this new setup.

It made 315whp on the old setup at 9 psi. I'm looking to do some where around 500hp this time!

May I ask why you are sleeved buy only choose to go .5mm over stock bore?

Also curious on why you chose a still relatively high 10:1 compression ratio.

probably for that little bit more displacement and the high'ish compression to help spool and response.

good choice in my eyes...

Pretty much Angel is right, SC61 is a big turbo and with a good tuner 10:1 is fine for turbo, In the end your air and fuel need to be right no matter what compression you have.

As for going only 81.5mm, here I was kind of a puss, I only went .5 over incase something happened, so I could just bore the sleeves out if it was possible.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the set up.

It sounds like a solid setup.

Bet it's fun.
