yeah its going to be a while before F/I. theres going to be a lot of suspension, brake system, and trans mods before a lot of HP is put in to the car. gotta be able to handle F/I first!!
thanks!!!

If you plan on Autoxing your car ANY leave it stock, and learn to drive it at it absolute MAX!!!!!! just get a nice set of tires ( Bridgestone RE01R, Dunlop Direzza Z1, Kuhmo MX) and get some seasoned drivers to ride with to help you with your turn in points and lines and your quickly change your mind about F/I.
I really like the comment about leaving the car as-is and learning its full potential at that level; I've been going 1 year strong, bone stock, on the EP3, and I must say I've learned a lot about it. Mugen Sports Suspension, here I come!

You're gonna get hooked....
You're gonna get hooked....
Even for track racing you don't need high horsepower. My friend has a Mazda MX3 with a 2.5 liter V6 KLZE from Japan. With the mods he is MAYBE pushing 250 at the crank.
He races in autox and track races and almost always is placing first or second in his class.
And he is even stomping on EVOs, STI, Skylines, etc that aren't in his class. He doesn't wanna get higher HP numbers or anything because then he gets put into a class of cars it is harder to compete in.
If you got good handling and driving you can outrace cars with twice the HP as yours.

I do that, I'm always within the top 20 overall times out of like 70-90 timed entrys. and I'm only about 3-4 seconds off of the fast Car ( not including the Amods
)

regardless i would think 93 octane would produce better output

It won't not on a factory ecu at least. The only you would see even the SMALLEST of gain with 93 is from being able to run more timing advance, even then its its really not worth it.
