Default The Car would not deaccelerate?????????

2002 Accord V6. When I drive the car sometimes, after I accelerate the rpm wouldn't go down below 1000 it would stay somewhere above or below 2000rpm. I notice that under the hood where the accelerator's spring is there are 2 wires that are coming onto the spring that should bring the gas and rpms down. On that spring there is some plastic level or whatever it is called and when I push it back a little the rpm goes to the normal position. I tried spraying some wd-40 but that work only for a little bit, then back to the same problem. I also noticed that this happens when is warm or hot outside. I was thinking that maybe have to replace the accelerating spring?

Did any of you had such a annoying problem?

Ya i'd try the accelerator spring or the throttle cable is too tight or too loose?

First i'd try the throttle cable adjusting then go with the spring.

I don't think that it is the FITV because when I push that plastic ring that's in between the accelerating spring the rpm goes back to normal. It seems that somehow it gets stock or basically doesn't have enough of the spring power to bring it back. See the thing is that when I am stepping on the gas pedal the freakin' plastic is not even moving but since it is in between the accelerating spring when I am accelerating the spring is moved by the throttle cable and the plastic peace is also moved a bit and that small bit is all it takes for the rpm to be at 1500rpm or even 2000. I am not so sure what is that other cable that also goes on to the accelerating spring but never move when I am accelerating. I will try to play with it later on today.

BTW sometimes everything works perfectly, after I spray wd-40. It could work fine for a week or 2 days. In winter I did not have such a problem.

Dude my did the samething the yellow ring is a screw that holds down that button in the middle so it can go back to normal . Screw that part all the way down.
