the SiR-G is the equivalent to the GSR here i believe ,
But that vid you posted says SiR, not SiR-G.
the vid also audibly calls the SiR the " Base Model " .

I'm not sure , But a type R is a Type R .

having an ITR ,there is enough R-specific things to remember about Integras , therefore i don't study all the facts about other models , sorry

is this really ITR related? Anyways, in the UK and possibly in all of Europe, they only got the ITR. No other Integra trim levels were offered.

I would disagree with that statement. UK and other countries in Europe got few trims of Integra, not only ITR.

people have imported lower-spec Integra's as they're dirt cheap, but we never had anything but the Type-R for sale in Honda dealers, from 98-00

from memory Japan got the Si-VTEC (94-97 GSR) SiR (98-01 GSR) SiR-G (had more luxury bits on them) and then a LOAD of lower spec ones which included SOHC D-series motors and B18B's, but importers have always been so sketchy about what the actual model names and specs are, makes it a pain to potentially insure them.

 

There were tons of trim levels from 1993 to 2001. I don't even think this is all of them, but each only have slight variations on exterior/interior trims and performance.


ZX Selection S (DC1 and DB6) with B16a?
ZX Sports Limited (DC2 and DB8) with B18
ZX Extra (DC1 and DB6) with B16a?
ZXi 4WD (DB9) Full time AWD 5 speed MT and 4speed AT

I'm interested to know what Honda themselves did about the steering rack for these race-base models, since the PS was not there.

Yes, our USDM front end is what the JDM Integras started out with, I think for maybe 1 year, and then switched over to what we know as the JDM front.

I think its a completely different steering system, possibly from a Civic. The reason I think this is because when I bought my car, I asked if they could delete the power steering, and they said that the steering mechanism is different on the race-base model and that they couldn't put it on the street version. The only way I could get a non-power steering ITR was to delete it myself or to buy the race base model, and install the interior myself...wasn't worth the trouble.

From I could tell, they had a few more Integra models (like the SJ for example) that doesn't even look like the DC/DB series Integra and are more mechanically closer to an EF series Civic and looks like a Honda Domani.

"Round-eyed" Integra (what we call them here) lasted from 1993 to 1995 (until the debut of the Style-S and the Super Style S models. They were really unpopular here. People liked the look of the new Accord, so they based the 1995-2001 front ends on what the Accords looked like back then, but a bit more aggressive and sportier.

This is the Xi, the model right before the Style S.



This is the the Style S which is basically an Xi with a different front end.

 

I posted this before but here is the race-based DC5. I can't find any pics of the DC2, but I've seen one once and it looked even more gutted than this. Its only about $3000 cheaper than the street version.
