Default Fuel filler seal killed by fuel!

It seems that they reseal the filler before exporting to Australia with a silicone that is NOT fuel resistant. Eventually the seal is destroyed, like mine, and needs to be removed and redone.

What is the best compound and or product to re-seal with?

I've tried a few local car spare parts style stores and none had fuel-resistant sealant. Some people have said to avoid resealing with a silocone or soft setting sealant and go with something like "liquid nails". Any advice?

Cheers
