i have a 1991 ef hatchback with a ls motor in it . i have had a automter 5" tach in it for a while with no problems. now all of a sudden the tach doesnt want to work right. when you start the car it goes to 3 grand and sits there. when u rev the car it barely moves then comes back down. i have checked all my wires and connections, and have no problems. i have the green wire to the blue wire on the distributor. im also running an msd external msd blaster coil, and msd cap. someone said that i have to hook it to my negative side of the coil. the stock tach on the car works fine, so i dont know what the problem is. can anyone help me with this?
Hey I have a LS CRX I also have the same tach and same coil My green wire is ran dirrectly onto the negative terminal on the coil and my works fine.. if you are sure all the wires and connections are good then maybe give that a shot..
