Fuel Problem...
Last week on my way back to school my car slowed down and just flat out died on me. When it stopped I was able to crank it and it idled like it had a misfire so I pulled the wires one by one to see if that was a problem. No luck. I tried to give it gas and it sputtered and died on me. After that it will prime and crank for a brief second and nothing else.
I changed the fuel filter thinking it to be the culprit and nothing. When I put the new filter on I loosened the banjo bolt to see if I had fuel pressure when it primed and tried to start and all i got was just a little bit of fuel coming out. I was expecting it to spew. (full tank btw) Being as the pump does prime and stay on when I crank it over I know the relay is good. Could this possibly be a bad fuel pump? It primes and hums but...might it not be working still?
Oh, I also don't have a CEL on, it does blink like normal and turn off when I turn the key over.
Thanks for the help.
