Whenever im going slow in 1st and 2nd gear, there is a noticeable grind . When im going faster in 2nd the other gears , i dont hear anything , just in 1st and 2nd. Also , sometimes it hard to get out of reverse when in gear.

Could the grinding be the transmission or clutch? Thanks

 

how far up does your clutch engage on the pedal?

 

the grinding sound you are hearing is probably like a fast and constant knock. i would say it is a bad input cluster shaft bearing on the clutch housing. that is why you are only hearing it 1-2 gear and not hearing it so much in the other ratios. there is more stress on that bearing in 1-2 gear because those speed gears are closest to that bearing. the farther away from that bearing, which is 3-5 gear, the less you will hear it since the other end of the cluster shaft is supported by another bearing.
