ohh yeah.....i think roberts ride was much more fun chris!
Yikes, did someone forget to tell him thats about an 85o corner, not 30o Man, he was off the throttle, and even blipped the throttle to get it to turn....
hey i got footage of that too(i'm one of the specks sitting on the bleachers), anyway how fast of a turn is 10? i always pictured it as a 70-80 mph turn but wasn't sure.
Thanks for posting that up Adam. That was too damn close. I was way too early and too fast on that corner. I wish I was running in car video because I would like to understand better what I did wrong.
The video is different from my memory of what happened if that makes sense. From memory, I knew I had apexed to early and I was carrying a lot of speed. I could tell the car was not going to turn in by that patch of pavement past the rumble strips so I got off the gas because the car was understeering toward the dirt. Then I hit the rough pavement way past the rumble strips and the car jerked right really quickly. I don't know if I hung a wheel off or if it was just so rough out there that rear end came out. I definitely should have gotten back into the gas when I actually tried to turn the car back on track. Right? I don't even know what that throttle blip is. I remember thinking when I knew I had lost the car "in a spin both feet in". And I remember accidentally hitting the throttle with part of my right foot then. But that throttle blip sounds earlier than that.
Hell if I know. I may be pretty damn fast when I actually learn how to drive one day.

emsp, if you have some video you could post up I would definitely appreciate it. I have a server I can put it on if you can email me the clip. I would really like to get a better idea of what I screwed up so hopefully I don't do that again!
Thanks,
Chris
Thanks,
Chris
That corner is 85-90 mph.. If I find myself not being able to get out of an understeer, sometimes I will blip the throttle to upset the car, it makes it rotate...
I was tracking out at 90mph. Typically all 4 tires up on the curbing at the exit (Thanks Corey
).
I never really felt like I managed to do that corner well the entire weekend. I gave up alot of speed there.
