First of all I am new to Hondas but not cars in general. I bought- dirt cheap- a 94 hatch with a bad stock D16 VTEC. I want to put in a B16A. However I live in an area where emission testing is required. Do I need a USDM motor or will a Jdm pass emissions? I have one book that says a B16A will bolt to the stock trans- which I believe is stamped Y4F. I dont mind getting the engine /trans together but I dont want to waste money on parts I dont need. Any useful info would be greatly appreciated!
