i bought a 96 Honda integra type r that's titled last year. Few months ago, it got stolen and now i'm going through insurance bull. We ( me and insurance company) got 3 different auto appraisers. 2 are local and one is not. The 2 local apparently dont know sh*t about these type cars b/c they're using nada and kbb to appraise the car. And they're doin it by a 96 acura integra gsr. Totally different from my car. The one out of state appraised the car correctly as a 96 honda integra type r. And the value they got is twice as much as the 2 local appraisers. My insurance company is not paying me for what the car is really worth. I might have to end up getting a lawyer. Can anybody help with some advice? Thanks

 

dam that sucks bro, i dont know much about that insurance stuff but i'd say get a lawer man, insurances usually dont try to help u. Just get a lawer and let him do his job.

 

I'm not sure how much help I can be, but do a search on Insurance. I know there are a few running around where insurance companies tried to hooker their way out of paying out money and people got through it. You can try pm'n those members and see if they can provide any help.

 

i decided i'm gonna just get a lawyer. I've been stressin enough. i'ma let the lawyer handle everything.

 

Given the car is imported, I go with the lawyer as well. You can aide in the research and give him the proper ammo he/she will need and let them deal with the insurance company. The registration cost alone are more than the value of a typical 96' GS-R.

 

How did you insure your car? With mine they made me set a price at which I wanted it insured for. Something similar to how you set the value of a classic car. They allowed me to set any price I wanted then basically pay insureance on that money amount. Did you ensure it listed as a GSR? Does it have a US Market VIN or are you still able to use the blue badge as a sort of VIN number? These things may matter.
