Default new jdm type r spec, performance questions

alright i have a 93 GS-R powered by a 98 spec JDM B18c Type R engine. its all stock as of now and i was looking into tuning it with hondata s100 or s300. but i was wondering if there is any basic bolt ons i should do first? i deffinently want to get some nice race headers and an intake. i was also thinking maybe some cams? i searched it up but i couldnt find which ones provide the best performance for this engine, along with adjustable cam gears. any and all info is appreciated, thanks in advance.

First, talk to the all motor forum, they can help you with all of these questions. It's good that you know that the motor will need tuning after mods, that's a big first step. An intake paired with a good header(Honda Inline Fours only have one...), a high-flow cat and a quality catback exhaust will help the motor breathe nicely, but that stuff is pretty much a no brainer for any motor. Every modification needs to be dictated by your goals for the motor...do you want it to be peaky and make lots of horsepower at one certain RPM, or have a broader and more livable powerband with less peak power? That's all stuff you have to decide before you choose a header, cams, etc. The all motor forum will be able to help you choose the best parts to meet your personal goals for the motor. For the details, they're your best bet.
