I've got an 03 EP3. When idling the cooling fan is on like crazy. I am assuming this is normal as there isn't any air flowing through the radiator and the coolant isn't cycling as fast. Just annoying when at the drive thru and stuff. Off and on and off and on.

 

Cut the wire and see what happens when you let your car sit and idle.

 

my cooling fan hardly comes on at all. check your sensors...

 

Yeah. I'm going to look into that. When I am idling it is coming on like every 30 seconds and then shuts off etc.

Temperature never gets too high or anything.

 

fack my fan comes on alot too like if the engine is warm and i turn the lights on it comes on and when ive started it in 20 below weather it comes on i dont think its bad for it but idk
