EP3 K20a2 ...another unsatisfied SKunk2 costumer
Bought some sk2 stage cams 2 valvesprings ands retainers a while for my ep3 etc etc
-Bad alignment
-Noise valvetrain
-Inner Valvesprings expand locking in the outter springs cause almost the valve locks to fall off
-Titanium retainers with only 5 K kms degradating in the spring seat
Returned the package to Import-Jdm who returned it to SKunk
Me and Import-Jdm are still waiting for an answer, money or in good condition goods, its been 2 months now. Also i had posted in another existing threads in K20a.org and some person (nicked SKUNK2TS ) PM´d me claiming the he represented Skunk directly, still wainting for hes answer too....
I know SKunk for several years now and used a lot of their stuff in B series, now their stuff are breaking, damaging etc, either in B or K series, whats wrong with their fabrication and specialy costumer service, or is it because im from overseas and they dont pay me/us no atention.
Hope im not being incorrect and paying no justice to SKunk2... but so far thats my impression.

Skunk2 FTL!!! Atleast you were smart enough to get rid of those garbage cams before they blew your motor like a lot of people have had happen.
**** man thats not good. Have you compaired them to the stock cams . Like lobe and bearing alignment and so forth ?

I would personally never run a Junk2 part on my car. I really don't know why we even carry their products. I guess because alot of customers want them but man, I have seen nothing but problems with their parts, especially their cams for the k-series. Your just lucky that they didn't cause your tensioner to fail. I have seen many people blow their motors because of these Junk2 cams. I would pull those things out and run OEM cams.
If you are looking for a more aggressive set of cams that what we get stock then let me suggest to you the 06' year model TSX cams. They are the most aggressive set of cams that Honda has ever produced. They are kind of in the middle of say a skunk2 stage 1 & 2 cam as far as power goes but they are much much more reliable.
Just some food for thought.

Tony at SKunk got back to me, i believe he will take care of this matter.

It really does.
One of the problems got figured out since k20a2 heads came with both single or dual valve springs, so they required diferent valve seats, in this case single valvespring seat was used with sk2 dual valve springs, now, who´s got the blame? In my opinian both installer/workshop and sk2 for not having enough info in their web page / web shop / product box/ product sheet. Sk2 says it justifys the wear in the valvsrings and retainers, if so, we still have the bad manufacturing of the camshafts being the lobe alignment the principal issue here.

Springs my ***. The centerline on the cams are off. Poor design is the problem not installation nor oem spring design.
Goodluck ever getting anything from Tom. Guys been giving my friend that blew his 4k motor the run around for months.

There's no problem with their b-series stuff but their k-series stuff is straight garbage.

I highly doubt that spring seats caused the cam centerline to be off.... poor design did.

Haha, exacly.
Sk2 came trough.... they tested the valvesrpings and retainers ( they said the retainers were not sk2´s, i dont knock how, they came in a sk2 sealed box....
) and said that they are in good condition. As for the camshafts they assumed the design issue and they will refund the payment to the dealer since they dont have stg2 in stock right now. Ill be waiting for the money and my stuff back, when i have them ill post here to confirm they came trough.
