Default D series starter on a B series block?

I have a starter from my 00 civic that i was about to throw in the trash. Recently my B18 starter has been delayed and I have to hold the key for a couple seconds before it will turn over.
Before I go and swap them out, I was hoping someone would know if they are interchangeable or if I'm wasting my time.

OK thanks, I love non-technical responses. I'll just pull the B series starter and see if they match myself. I'm not here to waste peoples time.
