Default accord big brakes...need clarification

I am about to do the legend 2 piston caliper/acura cl 2.3 rotor-to-hub conversion w/ acura cl 3.0 11" rotors.

I've read the FAQ's and I'm a bit confused into what caliper brackets are needed for this conversion. 23T, 25T or 28T? Please advise, thanks!

I found the friggin cl 3.0 rotors didn't work. Too much offset; the rotor hit the caliper mount, I think, it been a while. Fortunately I took them back to autozone after the 92-96 prelude rotors I ordered cam from partsplusautostore.com; they worked perfect. Never had such good brakes. The offset of the lude otor is 47.1 mm and the cl 3.0 is 47.2. Look at the brembo.com site.

Oh. I have a pair of legend caliper for sale they caome with 28T brackets. Prelude calipers come with 23T. To do it right get the legend rotors and have them drilled 4x114.3. 28T rotors are much stronger, absorb more heat and resist warping. If you use 23mm rotor with 28t calipers you have a 5mm diff which is 2.5m per side or .090 or less than 1/10 inch per side. Probably doewn't matter but I never tried it.

So use the 92-96 Prelude vtec rotors instead of the acura cl 3.0 rotors? If I use the 92-96 prelude rotors, which bracket should I use then? 23T or 28T?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by NoSmoking &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The offset of the lude otor is 47.1 mm and the cl 3.0 is 47.2. Look at the brembo.com site. </TD></TR></TABLE>

so you're saying that .1mm (or .004") difference was what caused the rotor to hit the caliper mount? Seems like there is another factor there somewhere because I can't see that small of an amount causing issues.

I know what you mean. I eyeballed the diff with the cl rotors and it seemed like about 1/10 inch. I was thinking about makeing a shim but when the lude roters arived and worked I slammed it all together. I had to have her if you know what I mean. Oh 1mm = .03937 or 40 thousands.
