Default tranny or clutch issue...please help

hey guys and girls, here the car setup

01 prelude
68,XXX miles
stock motor, trans, etc...just bolt on h/i/e

I had issues with engaging the clutch with the car on...i was being lock out of gears at times and then other times it drive perfect. My research points to either the throw out bearing or pressure plate, but i want to get rid of any other (cheaper) repairs before going after the major. I flushed the tranny fluid and re-filled (1.75 qts honda mtf) and initially had no change...could not get into any gear with car on, and if I start car in gear it wants to lunge forward and drive with no gas being applied.

after a couple days of sitting i tried it again...started up fine, gears were a lil notchy for a second and then loosened and i could shift into each with lil to no issue. Car is on jack stand in front currently, and i can get through every gear at first but as the car warmed up it became a lil more difficult to get into 5th and rev...eventually not at all.

I am looking to sell the car but dont wanna offload a POS, nor to I wanna change the tranny or clutch in a car im getting rid of, so does anyone know of anything else that could be the issue.

My slave cylinder fork is moving when the clutch is depressed, clutch pedal feels fine...doesnt go to floor loosely, but still has some pressure. the clutch fluid level is good...fluid is a lil dirty (could this cause an engagement problem?) I need some ideas guys...thanks for the help in advance...let me know if you need more details about anything...

LOL No, all he has to replace is the clutch.

Your clutch disk is bad. It's warped. One, or more, springs popped out of it. It happened to my car, too.

Just get an OEM Exedy replacement clutch and you will be fine. They go for around $120 shipped on Ebay.
