Default Good to Know but not recommended

My timing belt finally gave out at 275,000 miles. It was the factory installed belt on a 92 Honda Prelude. The last 4 years of its life were beaten pretty hard. Honda

Note to self: Do not run a timing belt that long.

Also: It's not uncommon for catastrophic occurances during a timing belt failure.

thought mine was done when i bought my old car at 91k. snapped at 103k. Looked like it was mostly age, the rubber was pretty dry.
