please post your suspension setups. I am going for something that will allow me to turn without rubbing and will not have the huge camber issues that my current setup has. I am running ground controls now with 17" wheels. They have a 40 mm offset, and i know that is part of the problem with a larger wheel. I am considering going to a 16" rota, but i have fallen inlove with RH CP-8r's in black! OMG!!! TOO HOT.

not too many people like listing what they have, that is the problem. Nice car btw.

If you don't want to rub either raise the car up or run smaller rims with a better offset. As far as camber, get a camber kit.

im not wanting everyone to list what they have, but it seems like i have an unusual rubbing problem with my car. I have friends with cars lowered atleast as far as mine, and they have no problems. I was looking as SPC supension alignment kits. Where did u get the srr pieces? BTW, how much are you lowered? and what offset on your tantrums?

 

if you are going with 17's you need an offset anywher from 35-40mm

 

my wheels have a 40 mm offset. My problem isnt rubbing the inside, its actually the outter lip of the fender rubbing the outer edge of the tire.

 

ahhh...then you need to roll your fender!!

YIKES!!!! that doesnt sound like the best idea for me to try. I would end up ripping the fender off or something. I have heard of that before, but i was hoping there was a better option. I have heard a 45mm offset would help. ARRRGG TO SUSPENSION!

 

if you are scared of doing it.....have a body shop do it

Suspension set up : From my start until Current !

1st : Tokico Blues and Neuspeed Sports from 1997 to 1998 = Good at the time but I didn't know what the future held for me!

2nd: Koni Yellows and Ground Control from 1998 to 2000 = The best suspension for the money. Ground controls are so easy to adjust and the ride was somewhat bouncy but it was all good after you tightened the settings on the Yellows.

3rd : Apexi N1 Coilovers(Full threaded coilovers) from 2000 to 2001 = OMFG, After riding on this mothernackas, I refuse to go back to anything else. These are very expensive at this time and you can find them somewhat used for $700 to $1000.00. But look no further. Billstein makes them, Neuspeed makes them, Koni makes them, Ground Control makes them, I mentioned those first because for what I understand those can be rebuilt in the USA. This following list are also Japanese/European full threaded coilovers but a lot of them have to be sent to their own motherland to be rebuilt with the exception of TEIN ( in no order of preference)

That's just a few to be mentioned. All of this set ups or companies are actually hard core functional parts which have been tested before and are not just a knock off some other brand.

Remember money comes and go so don't be afraid to spend the extra dollars on quality parts.

dang.....not i got a craving....but i still think ill just pick up some yellows, or some agx's and go ahead and get some camber correction parts. Has anyone here heard of SPC (specialty products company).

spc is decent stuff, they are a cheaper alternative to ingalls and are made pretty much the same. I picked up my srr lca's off ebay for 150 i think. Anyways, i'm dropped about 2-3 in and i have mad rubbing the rear but i am too scared to roll my fenders but i'll get around to it.
