Default Honda Bass System?

I have an 07 EX Coupe W/ Nav. I was looking at the Honda Bas mod with the amp and speakers. Does the car I have already have this installed. I know it has the 350 watt stereo and an amp for the factory sub but I want a little bit more. Does anyone have these?

Thanks

Yeah I actually just watched that video....lol As well as the interior illumination video. I don't think that my car has this stock. Do you know anyone who has actually installed it in their car?

My 08 Si has it. All the 06+ Civic Si should come with it standard, just like the RSX Type-S. If anything, for EX/DX/LX they're an option you must order, but VERY much worth it. Gives the right amount of bass without annoying me

That's some weak stuff right there. You'd be better off spending that money on a basslink.

Your Si doesn't have the thing the OP is asking about.

What is a bass link. I want a little bit of sound and this comes with an amp and new rear speakers for $220 that isn't that bad of a deal. Especially when I do not need to cut any wires and it is 100% plug and play. I also want to use it with my stock Navi head unit.

I don't have those, but I do have these.

To be honest, 2 12' Kicker VR subs is a bit too much for a car this size (my opinion). I am thinking of doing 2 more enclosures with 10" JL Audio subs instead.

haha yea I had two 12 inchers once upon a time and it was WAY too much. I got rid of em cause I wasn't using them anywhere near their full potential and it weighed down the back end too much. So now I'm gonna go with one 10 inch.

That looks good man. I am sure it hits very hard. I have out grown all of that though. I want simple, stock and I need my trunk for all of my gear. Does anyone actually have the Honda Bass System installed in their car. I want an opinion of just that system.

That Honda bass system won't do you any good. If you're looking for dedicated 6.5" bass drivers, I'd suggest looking at these:

http://www.edesignaudio.com/pr...id=33

Two of those will still be cheaper than those POS ones you get from Honda. All you have to do is fab up some MDF spacers, add a small 500 watt amplifier, 8 gauge wiring kit, line output converter, and you're set. It can work infinite baffle so it will work for your application.

Same here. The stock stuff is almost enough for me but for those certain songs I like to listen to loud, I'd like to have just a little more. Right now the stock system is 90% of what I want and I'm hoping the bass system provides the final 10.

I ordered from College Hills Honda today and will probably install it next weekend. I'll let you know how much improvement there is.

The verdict is positive. The system adds a noticable amount of bass and a little more volume overall. It got me to where I wanted to be and I would recommend it if AND ONLY IF are not looking to wake up your neighbors from down the block or rattle your trim loose. If you are the type that's interested in any of the systems pictured in this thread, then you'll agree with those who have said "garbage". However, if you've trully outgrown that level and, like me, just want a modest boost to the factory system with no installation hassles and a relatively small cash outlay, I think you'd be satisfied.

Took less than 30 minutes to install.
