car won't start, weak spark, replaced dizzy
A buddies 91 LS 5spd recently died on the freeway. He told me the car started backfiring and then died. It hasn't started since. Upon removing the dizzy cap, I noticed that all of the teeth on the dizzy (behind the rotor) had broken off.
We replaced the dizzy, cap, rotor, and plugs. All fuses are good. Ecu is good. No cel. Getting fuel. The car sounds like it wants to start, but the spark is very very weak. You can barely see it sometimes and it doesn't jump off of the plug.
I don't know what else to look at. Could it be a timing issue?
