hey guys, tried doin a quick search but couldn't really find an answer to what i was looking for. I have konig supermesh wheels black with a machined lip. basicly what happend was i was going to was the car and i started washing the wheels with a soft cloth. some how little pieces of some crap got caught under the cloth and when i went to wipe the lip i got little scratches all over the lip. they are little abrasions and i tested some "liquid glass" wax on a small part of the surface and it helped take away the scratch a lot!

my question is, what is the best product for polished/machined lips? to either restore them, or help repolish them to remove the scratches? do i have to wetsand?

any help is appreciated!!!

you probably have a factory clear coat atop the machined finish on your rims.. i would say to do 2000 grit wetsand, compound then a nonabrasive wheel cleaner wax on top

 

well if anyone wants to know a rememedy i bought meguiars mutli surface wheel polish for like 8 bucks and it took out all my scratches.
