Default HELP! obdo to obd1 harness question

i ordered a conversion harness to fit a d16z6 in a 91 dx hatchback. everything is fitting fine except for the driver side firewall harness. i have included a pic so you can see my dilemna. the clip on the harness is twice as big and has i think 14 pins. the clip on the chassis has i believe 8 pins. any way has any body encountered a problem like this? and is there a way to wire it all in to make it work?

someone probably swapped an SI chassis harness into it - the connector on the chassis harness coming out of the firewall is definitely not a DX connector - it is either SI or HF - what about the passenger side? does it connect up o.k. or do you have an extra connector at the firewall with nothing to plug into it?

The conv harness looks like its for a MPFI car. You need one for a DPFI car.

Is the plug you're holding in the picture the engine harness or the harness that comes out of the firewall?
