ok i searched and could only find how to get the left over adhesive off. my question is on the 96-00 civic trunks on the "civic" and "ex" emblems is it jus adhesive that holds them on or are there holes behind them like there is on the "H" in the center?

sorry for the n00b question i just wanna make sure b4 i get into it.

only glue holds on the 'civic' and 'ex' badges. Floss helps to get them off, then a damp rag and lots of patience gets the goo off.

There is just adhesive. If there were holes you would see a whole lot fewer cars without the badges.

I use a hair dryer and Goo Gone and brake cleaner (yes, it's safe, stop saying it's not if you've never used it on clearcoat).

wd40 works alright, i had a bunch of tar and other nasty stuff on my wheels and i used some Comet bleach to clean that off, which worked great...but i dont know how good that is for the paint on your car
