Default AC removal but still want to keep the heater working. what needs to go?

1998 integra itr. i want to ditch the AC, but i still need the heater to work. what can i remove so that this is possible? i was thinking the compressor, condenser, and all the AC lines such as high and low pressure. Will this work? do i have to modify any existing lines or reroute any lines? any help is much appreciated as i wanted to get cracking on this on saturday. thanks guys

The only thing you really gotta keep is the evaporator core which attaches to your climate blower which is behind the glove box. I mean, you could take the core out and leave the plastic box in place, but I don't really recommed it, it's a pain in the *** to get in and out, plus where you're doing the work is a really aquard place... talk about a back-ache.

You can take all the lines out-- you'll need to take your battery out to get to the lines which go into the evaporator core, then to get the front ones out, you'll need to take the radiator out, so you can get to the condesor core, which sits in front of the radiator. There's also a cylinder which is righ next to the washer fluid filler, but all of this is relitivly easy and self explainitory. The Bracket and compressor is 12mm bolts-- The only thing I'm going to shiest you on with this one is draining the system of R-134a--- I did it the wrong way back in the riceboy days. I was looking for another way to put my power wire for my "system" thru the firewall, and decided to poke a hole with a knife thru the firewall in that felt lined hole next to the battery. Dumbass, the evaporator core was right behind it, and it punctured it. That's how I know that taking the core out and putting it in is a bi-******. Can anyone else help him w/ draining the refridgerant?

Yep, just remove all the A/C stuff in the engine bay.

FYI: Compressor + condensor + dryer + most lines under the hood (not the in and out lines under the intake) weigh 28 pounds on my scale.

I've removed my a/c and will trade the evaporator with whoever buys it with their heater blower duct, which takes the place of the evaporator

did the work on it today. the a/c system got OWNED. took about 2 hrs wasnt hard at all except that i took the compressor out without taking out the PS pump which required a lot more time. i just didnt want to play with any more belts than i had to. so its out now, heater still works, and the weight savings was 32lbs with all hoses, bolts, brackets, etc. thanks for the helps guys
