B16 Civic Problem....
I have a B16a 93 civic......and heres whats up...
it was spitting and mis-fireing really bad....so i replace th plugs and wires, still missing, so i replaced the cap and rotor....still spittin....i have a buddy who works at the honda shop and he gave me a free diagnostic, he said maybe it was my MAP sensor....so as i was leaving the honda shop the car just stalled on me, i tryed to start it up again and it would crank over but nothing would happen... i got out and looked under the hood, i checked for spark and there was none....after thinking a little bit i got mad and i hit the distributor with a screw driver, i go back in my car and it fires right up...but it wolt rev up past 4,000rpm unless you go really really slow, and the tach will bounce alot when ever i hit the gass....its not smooth, also it just stulls after idiling for about 10min...so i AAA it back to my house...then i replaced the MAP sensor and nothing....then my friend said it could be my TPS sensor...i havent got around to replacing that yet, i plan on doing that tonight.....
any hellp would be nice thanks!

honestly... no idea, try checking all the wiring that leads to the distributor from the harness, maybe a faulty wire or even a bad ground.... but like i said i have no idea whats wrong just ideas
If it wouldn't start and then you hit the distributer and it started, this would indicate to me that your distributer is the problem. Swap it out for one that you know works. This would be my first step in solving an issue like yours.
this might b a long shot and seem to be irrelevant.. but i had the same problem in my old car.... and the mechanic said change ur tps and nothing changed.. i changed my distributer, plugs, and wires... and still nothing... turned out to be my gas pump.. if it wont go over 4000rpm and once you hit 4000 u feel like theres no throttle response it might b that
thanks.....any one else......
