Default Question about Plug color....

Now.. From my experience with racing 4-wheelers and my dad racing circle track.. You can pretty much tell if your car is running lean or rich from the color of your plugs... Does this same rule apply to boosted cars?

Burnt, white colored plugs = Lean
tan, light brown color = Perfect
Very dark or Black color = Rich

Just trying to find other ways to trouble shoot things...

Much appreciation for any help you have to offer...

Same rule applies, but with a turbo you are going to want to be a little on the "rich" side, at least compared to stoich. Want to be around 11.5-12.0 which will make your plugs a little darker than your "perfect" scenario above.

I would definitely stay richer than 12.0 on pump gas under boost.
