i bought a 92 accord with heating problems (the water pump was bad) so deside to drive it home any ways thinking that i could get away with turning up the heater and letting the hot air vent out. but when i tryed to drive it up a hill (i know stupid) it stared to loose power and then it stalled on me my girl frend was following me and she said she saw a black smoke right befor the car stalled, so if any one has an idea on what that means and if you could tell me if it would be easy to fix.

 

black smoke could be the head gasket which wouldnt be too big of a deal since youll want to replace it when doing water pump anyway but just hope you didnt warp the head....but when you do the work (or have it done)
do the
head gasket
timing belt
water pump
PS/AC belts
valve cover gaskets
and unless you know when it was done last do a tune up(spark plugs,line,etc) get it all out of the way.....treat your accord with respect and itll love you forever

btw whats the milage like on the accord you bought

 

As you discovered, relying on the heater to help cool an engine with a bad water pump doesn't work. No coolant flow.

At best you blew a head gasket. At worste you seized the engine.

Sorry, no easy fixes. One fix will cost more than the other, though.
