I just got pulled over by the friendly Nebraska State Patrol. I was merging onto the interstate...obeying all the traffic laws in ******* rush hour traffic...and that ****** makes his way to pull me over. He was eyeing me from the point I was still trying to merge. I saw him already on the interstate and made sure to use my signal and go the speed limit (usually I accelerate to merge onto the interstate).

Anyways, the ******* pulls me over for no front licenseplate. Who fucken cares. Go be a good cop and catch the bad guys. I mean...out of the thousands of cars on the interstate in rush hour traffic speeding 30+ mph over the speed limit and he pulls me over.

That's more money I have to use to pay for this damn ticket that I don't have. Maybe God didn't intend for me to be able to afford this car.

Owning a PY ITR is starting to get tiresome.

I was telling someone at work that this poor white boi was harrassed by a Hispanic NY trooper in upstate NY last summer.
hehe ... he missed the no front plate issue ...

i run the front plates now

got pulled over twice in the first two months of ownership for no plates at all. "hey officer...there's not plate b/c it's BRAND NEW CAR!"

It's legal in GA... I sometimes run my only rear plate behind my tinted glass so I can take the toll roads without paying.

 

its odd but my py itr doesnt seem to attract much attention from anyone, move to alabama where nobody knows what the hell an itr is

 

that's why I keep my front plate now...just less hassle from the cops

 

I'd love to use the, "My plate fell off officer!" But I fear his retort would be, "But how did those body colored plugs fall into the holes where the plate is supposed to be attached too?"

I've run no front plate in Cali for almost 2 years, and have gotten pulled over once for it <knocks on wood as well>. I was pulled over SOLELY for no front plate. I've been pulled over 3 other times in addition to that in the same time frame, and didn't get static for no front plate.

My friend got a no front plate ticket when his car was brand new too. He had lots of fun bashing the cops for that one. I laughed.

I got pulled... got a speeding ticket... and wasn't cited for the no front plate. I guess it depends on the cop.

dude cops hate young people with imports. Especially bright colored ones that stand out. There gonna nail you for every little thing they can. Up here we get tickets for not having plates on the front. Even if we do have one on the back. Its gay. I decided to keep my car as legal as posible so those ***** cops cant bust me.

 

I've had two no front plate tickets. Both times the pigs said if I had no holes then I would have no ticket.

This is what I was thinking. You know damn well that you have a car that attracts a lot of attention, good and bad. So with all that attention, why do something silly (like leave the front plate off) just to give cops that much more reason to pull you over? Does the presence of the front plate really hurt the performance aspirations of your R on the street that much?

 

Well, you just answered my post from two days ago, it stays on, even if the front plate look phacken ugly!

 

just put the license plate on,but still they like to harrass the yellow itr's alot!!

 

yeah...well there were lots more people to pull over for speeding than profiling me in my yellow ITR.

 

Todd, sorry to hear that. I've been pulled over once for no front plate in UT, but I was only given a warning (knock on wood). To this date I haven't had a front plate.

To rant, I was pulled over the 2nd day I had my car for clear corners. Let's just say I wasn't aware of new car policies, but my car got impounded!!! Talk about anger..... Oh yah, and my link in my sig.....

...you dont have a front plate? ....if its mandated by law then dont complain so much about getting a ticket for it....yes, the cops could be doing other things, but they still have the right to pick on you for it. we get looked at more...i mean , yellow is a "hey everyone look at me!" color

 

Just think of front plate tickets as extra insurance.

Hopefully when/if your car gets stolen the police will pull over the thief for having no front plate.
