how low can you drop an integra? suspension questions
i have a 206 Civic Si that i am selling and in order to keep it in the best condition and keep the miles down im driving my old 95 integra that is pretty ghetto, it got pretty much totaled. since the car is probably going to the salvage yard or getting sold for like $200 after i get a new car i want to make it cool while it lasts. i bought some ebay "adjustable springs" that go from a 2" drop to a 4" drop and if i took out the adjustable part the drop would be about 5". my question is what would i have to do to the car to make it run a 5" drop with out too much rubbing? i am already aware that lowering springs and stuff are bad for your struts, are bouncy, blah blah. but im going to be driving it for at max 2 or 3 weeks so i dont care.
heres what it looks like at the moment:

and i have since ziptied the bumper back together and put it on.
thanks for the help.

In my most honest opinion....if it is going to the salvage yard or junk yard, why bother wasting money on it? If they let you, you probably could part out some of the stuff on there and MAKE money instead of WASTING money. That way....if you decide to mod your civic...you will have some cash to help do so
But again....that's just my opinion.

People are fuking annoying. Just tell him how low it can go, not why he shouldnt spend his own money. I want to see a 5 in drop on that teg.

I don't think you read the part where I said it was "just my opinion". That means, I wasn't TELLING him why he shouldn't. Rather, I was advising him that it was not worth it. People who don't read are "fuking annoying".

Don't know...but at the very least, for the OP, you will do well to remove the fender linings and get an alignment.....or not. With the springs that you have....if it lets you drop it max of 4 inches...then so be it. If you really want 5, then you can have someone half *** your install by ( oh God forgive me....I can't believe I'm telling him this....) cutting the springs. Or....you can spend more money and buy springs that aren't cut that will give you the drop you want ( if they're available ). Most will probably tell you to buy a good set of shocks too.....but since you made it clear that you don't give a sh*t about your car....why waste more money? Also...that's another reason why I said....cut the springs ( oh God...forgive me....I still can't believe I said that! ). If you're only going to be driving it for 2 weeks or 3 max, I would at least get the aligment. Bumpy ride.....HELL YES. You are going to feel EVERYTHING on the road. Depending on how your wheel ends up sitting, you may have to roll/ flare out your fenders.
Another piece of advice though....don't drive to too many places with that car. No....it's not a "appearance" thing. To me...it'd be more of a safety thing.
