Pony count is 250 compared with 244 in 2008 and its 253 pound-feet of torque tops last year's count by 13 twist units. While that latter commodity now peaks at a somewhat heady 4800 rpm, a dual-stage intake manifold and variable valve timing and lift keeps over 90 percent of it on call from 2000-6000 rpm. Equally critical, this slick V-6 thrives on regular unleaded gas.</TD></TR></TABLE>

motortrend's report seems more positive than negative, and proposes the pilot will be "class leading" (good for honda in general).
but the styling is very aggressive for a non-aggressive suv (IMO) it looks like honda's new design team is going for my boxy front ends (tsx, accord--although accord looks really good) but the pilot just seems out of place. i needs to be more round
but good luck pushing another SUV in USA"S horrible market now. gas is probably going to hit $4/gallon soon. ;0

I agree, it is pretty agressive. SUV's like this one will still sale, just to a smaller group. I'm sure honda has taken this into consideration, and will make smaller numbers. Hell, I bet it gets better MPG's than a element!
