Funny Whining Noise from 99 4 cyl
When I'm driving my car if I go past 3 grand this wierd whining noise starts coming from the front of the car. The pitch of the noise gets higher with the RPM's it almost sounds like the noise that speakers make if you hook them up wrong but it's not the radio. It just started Monday any info please help.
Stock intake or what, maybe check all the hoses make sure there isn't a leak.
I would have thought radio but you said that's not it, so whateva.

I have a short ram intake. I thought it was the radio at first but I soon realized the more I hammered it that the noise was coming from the engine bay or somewhere up front
Could it be a pulley or pulley bearings or something b/c I have no leaks or loose hoses that I can find. I had it started while I was under the hood, when I gave it gas it sounded like the noise was coming from the pulley side but I'm not for sure.
btw: the car has 70,000 miles on it could it be the timing belt fixing to go bad?

Did you do your 60k checkup/tune-up?
Your timing belt should be good till 90k I believe, I'm not 100% certain if that change that at 60k as well, but I doubt that's it.

I found that it don't start making the noise until the engine gets hot.
